“Celebrating the Fourth a day early with live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks show and a picnic on Kensico’s lawn with friends and family is a great way to kick off the summer,” Astorino said.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- At its June 20 meeting, the New Rochelle City Council unanimously selected MacQuesten Development, LLC as the winning bidder to reimagine a City-owned property at 45 Harrison Street, the current site of New Rochelle Fire Station #1.

MacQuesten’s proposed $110 million, 27-story mixed-use building, which was recommended by the City’s Department of Development, includes  282 residential units, approximately 9,500 square feet of retail, a four-story parking garage and an option for nearly 50,000 square feet of office space.

First, by way of update since I received a harassing phone call from the New Rochelle Police last week, at the behest of Vinny Mirabile, there has been no resolution.

On June 23, City Manager Charles B. Strome indicated that the New Rochelle Police Department had received my Internal Affairs Complaint and would get me the records I requested under a Freedom of Information request.

“You should get all the stuff you asked for in your FOIL request and a formal response to your Internal Affairs complaint,” Strome said in an email.
