NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Stivenson Desir (DOB 11/12/96) of 759 Main Street, New Rochelle, New York was found guilty today after a jury trial in front of Judge Barry Warhit of:
•one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a class “A” Felony,
•two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, class “C” Felonies,

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Dozens of friends, family and former adversaries gathered at noon today at the Black Whale in City Island to honor Arthur Karpf, a local sailing legend. When the notoriously punctual Karpf failed to show his son and cousin left the party to check on him. They found him, deceased, in the water, not far from Off-Limits, the houseboat where he lived at the dock of the Glen Island Yacht Club in New Rochelle.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- On a cold, windy evening in the South End of New Rochelle, more than 50 firefighters, most from New Rochelle, some from Yonkers, teamed up to battle a tenacious structure fire for almost two hours while trying to prevent it from taking hold of a neighboring house, They largerly succeeded, knocking down the fire at the first house and containing the first at the second house to the side closest to the first house.New Rochelle Police & Fire

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Daniel Stern, 53, of 189 Cross Street, City Island, New York, was sentenced on Friday, January 20, 2017 by Judge Larry Schwartz to two to four years in state prison after being convicted of one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class “D” Felony.
