NEW YORK, NY -- Coming together to help local families, replenish non-perishable supplies and recruit new volunteers to sustain important anti-hunger efforts, NBC 4 New York / WNBC and Telemundo 47 / WNJU will join with Stop & Shop and local food banks to host Feeding Our Families or Alimentando a Nuestras Familias in Spanish, a massive food and volunteer drive on Saturday, April 8.  Donations can be made at 199 Stop & Shop locations. Volunteers from partnering food banks will collect and pack all donated items to distribute to local families.

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino today joined Janet Crawshaw, publisher of The Valley Table magazine with Benjamin Prelvukaj and Benjamin Sinanaj, owners of Benjamin Steakhouse, to kick off Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) for Spring 2017. To kick off the event, the County Executive plated the “Astorino Sirloin” at Benjamin Steakhouse in White Plains. During HVRW, which runs from March 6 – 19, diners can sample delicious dishes throughout the county.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The investigation into financial fraud in the Athletic Director's Office at the City School District of New Rochelle has widened to include two victims and multiple incidents of fraud, sources say.

A forensic audit by the District's outside auditors began last week after a coach working for the District filed a criminal complaint alleging that Marisol Martell, the senior AD Office administrator working under Athletic Director Steve Young, forged a signature on a payroll check and pocketed the proceeds.

NEW YORK, NY -- A Connecticut man is facing numerous criminal charges after he led Westchester County Police on a chase Wednesday night on the Hutchinson River Parkway, rammed two police cars and injured several officers before being subdued and placed under arrest.

Three police officers – two from Westchester County and one from Harrison – were injured in the incident, which occurred about 9 p.m.
