PELHAM, NY -- From Friday, September 1st through Tuesday, September 5th The Picture House Regional Film Center (TPH) will present the third annual Westchester International Children’s Film Festival (WICFF) once again bringing the best new films from around the world for ages 3 through 18 to Westchester, the Bronx, and Connecticut. For the second year in a row, the WICFF is being sponsored by the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo.

PELHAM, NY -- Come say good-bye to summer and hello to friends and neighbors you haven’t seen all season at The Picture House’s sixth annual, much-anticipated Picnic in the Park event on Saturday, September 16th from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. The night will kick-off in the beautifully renovated 1921 Picture House with cocktails, popcorn, and an advance screening of one of the most buzzed-about movies of the fall, the biopic Battle of the Sexes starring Academy Award nominee Steve Carell and Academy Award winner Emma Stone.

PELHAM, NY -- The Paraguayan Harp is the national instrument of Paraguay. From 1:30-2:15pm, South American harpist, Nicolas Carter, will weave his outstanding harp music with storytelling in a musical journey through the various cultures of Latin America. Following the workshop from 2:30-3:30pm, we continue our theme of the “stringed arts” in a hands-on basic weaving workshop. Participants will learn the basics of weaving on a cardboard loom and can take home their handmade creations! Free and open to the public.

PELHAM, NY -- On Thursday, July 13th at 7:30 p.m. The Picture House Regional Film Center (TPH) will host an advance screening of Amnesia (1 hr., 36 mins.), followed by a discussion with the critically-acclaimed director, Barbet Schroeder led by TPH’s critic-in-residence Marshall Fine. Amnesia was selected to screen in the Special Screenings section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and opens in New York on Friday, July 21st.

PELHAM, NY -- Pelham Art Center is pleased to present its highly popular Faculty and Student Showcase on view July 14 – August 19, 2017. A free opening reception will be held on Friday, July 15 from 6:30-8PM.  This annual exhibition features new work in a variety of mediums by the Art Center’s distinguished artist-instructors and enthusiastic students. Exhibited work ranges from charcoal to oils, photographs to collage, and mixed media to ceramics.

PELHAM, NY -- From Tuesday, June 13th through Thursday, June 15th, The Picture House Regional Film Center (TPH) will host the third annual edition of the Ecuadorian Film Festival in New York (EFFNY) at its iconic 1921 theater in Pelham. One of seven theaters acting as venues for the festival, TPH will screen three of the juried, Sin muertos no hay carnaval (Such Is Life in the Tropics) on June 13th, Alba on June 14th, and Translúcido (Translucid) on June 15th. All films will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
