La economía no tiene un objeto independiente de su actuación, y por ende me parece una técnica, no una ciencia. El problema es que esta técnica pretende reglar las otras formas de conocimiento según un principio que no pertenece a la ciencia, sino al interés de una minoría. La reducción de la dinámica social al provecho económico devino el dogma central del pensamiento contemporáneo: no se puede decir, pensar ni investigar nada si no sirve a la acumulación de capital."

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Board of Education last night accepted the resignation of board member Maddali Atallah. The Board chose to leave the seat, which was vacated immediately, vacant until the next regularly scheduled school district election on May 15.

Atallah, who had been serving in the capacity of vice president for the board, cited personal reasons for the decision she had been considering for some time. Board member Jeffrey Hastie was chosen to serve as the new vice president through the end of the school year.

NEW YORK, NY -- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced the launch of a $10 E-ZPass discount for new customers to encourage motorists to sign up for the most convenient and cost- effective way to travel New York toll roads, bridges and tunnels. More people than ever are using E-ZPass, as sales of On-The-Go tags jumped 22 percent in 2017 from 2016, setting a new record of 131,175 tags sold. Sales of On-The-Go tags have more than doubled since 2012.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Columbus Elementary's recent STR2EAMing to LEARNing Convention was a huge success, with hundreds of students showcasing their STEM-based research and inquiry-based projects to family and friends.

Columbus Principal Michael Galland said all 41 classes were involved in the two-day convention, which focused on Science, Technology, Reading, Research, Engineering, Art and Math.
