High energy entertainment is back in New Rochelle, NY, “the Greenwich Village without the Greenwich”

NEW ROCHELLE, NY Tuesday, March 01, 2011 Incoming Tide Entertainment LLC
Comedians invade New Rochelle once more at Rangoli Lounge on Saturday, March 19th at 9:30pm. Appearing in this stand-up performance are comedians, New Rochelle’s Amy Carlson, Freddy Sheffield, Kitty Lindsay and Tirrell Abraham. Each comedian travels the NYC and regional comic show circuit, and has several television appearances amongst them.

The Spare Change Comedy Tour launched in January to a roaring audience of New Rochelle residents braving a cold, windy evening for live entertainment. There was no fumbling with this crowd as each comic kept guest laughing beyond expectations. Rangoli provided delicious complimentary appetizers while preparing stimulating drinks. In February, the comedy tour traveled to Ossining’s Karma Lounge and played to a timid yet friendly audience, which provided funny interaction from both comedian and guests. No limits here, comics aim to please.

Wake Up New Rochelle: Michael Bloomberg's Version of Noam Bramson's GreeNR Plan to MANDATE Hybrid Vehicle Taxis Struck Down by U.S. Supreme Court

GreeNR logoA recent decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold lower court rulings against New York Mayor Bloomberg and his "green" PlaNYC:2030 plan should make clear to New Rochelle residents that Mayor Bramson is not telling the truth when asked about the overall goals of his GreeNR plan for New Rochelle. The Mayor has sought support among New Rochelle residents by portraying GreeNR as a "feel good" effort to create parks, plant trees, layout bike paths and make New Rochelle a "livable City. As the U.S. Supreme Court decision against Mayor Bloomberg shows, these so-called "sustainability plan" are nothing more than an attempt to place illegal mandates on private property while creating new taxes and increasing the scope and reach of government into our private lives.

Clearing Out the New Rochelle Talk of the Sound Mail Bag

Talk of the Sound is set up so that anyone can register, post articles and add photos. Despite this, folks can be reluctant to do so and so my inbox can clutter up with various tips, complaints, stories and photos none of which I can get around to researching, validating or fact-checking. So, with that caveat, I am posting a series of emails sent to be over the past six months. You may recognized your own. I've left the names and other identifying details out.

DWP at McD in Bronx

So it's 10AM today at the McDonalds on Conner St and Boston Post Rd (the Bronx). I see this New Rochelle DPW suburban car parked there for about one hour. I was at the 4 Star Auto Glass place repairing my windshield (took about 90 minutes). What's the rule for taking City-owned vehicles across New Ro city lines to eat at McDoanlds in the Bronx? Aren't there streets to plow?
