Iona Prep Cornerback Justin Combs, Son of Sean "Diddy" Combs, Mulls Offer from UCLA

Fox Sports is reporting Justin Combs, a cornerback from Iona Prep, in New Rochelle, NY has signed a scholarship from UCLA.

Justin Combs is the son of musician and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs. He has also received offers from Illinois, Iowa, West Virginia and Virginia.

New Rochelle Police Respond to Report of Body in Water of Davenport Neck

New Rochelle police have recovered a body in the water off Davenport Neck near Kensington Oval.

The body of a white adult male was discovered this morning on the rocks along the shore of Pine Island, near the Sans Souci Isle Beach Club this morning in New Rochelle, NY. A resident called in the report to police after spotting the body across the water from her house. The man is believed to have drowned.

Police had been looking for the man after neighbors said a woman was found in her car crying. When approached she said she was looking for her father who lived nearby and had gone missing setting off a search of the area. The body of the man was found a short while later. There were unconfirmed reports the man had been sick, possibly depressed.

Talk of the Sound Wiki -- Looking for Editors

Talk of the Sound now has a "wiki", a section of the site like Wikipedia but which will go into far more detail.

Wikis need editors and moderators. We are looking for a couple of folks who like to serve as the maintainers of the Talk of the Sound wWiki -- add information to the site, make sure the material is relevant and that no spammers infiltrate the site. Anyone can be an editor of a wiki. If you are interested and want to know more before making a decision read the Wikipedia page on "Wikipedians", it should give you a good sense of what it means to be an editor of a wiki.

New Rochelle police gather information on apparent strong arm robbery

New Rochelle police gather information on apparent strong arm robbery

New Rochelle police responded to a reported strong arm robbery on Flandreau Avenue across from the New Rochelle High School football field. The robbery reportedly netted a large amount of cash.

The victim told police 2 black men, approached him struck him, took a bag with cash and fled on foot.

The amount stolen is said to be in excess of $40,000.

The Friday Jams continue at Wildcliff Manor where the open-air venue hosts the sounds of jazz, rock, R&B and alternative genre from 5:30 until 8.

Then, Tomorrow, head down to the Remington Boys club for Community Beautification Day - The time has come for New Rochelle residents to take charge and care for our local environment - Sign-up starts at 8:30

At 2 pm and 7 pm, and again on Sunday at 6 pm, the Family Christian Center in downtown New Rochelle plays host to All My Struggles: The Stage Play – Tickets are available at allmystruggles.com or by calling 845 – 321 6321

Then on August 24th, the Summer Concert series continues at Hudson Park with the The “barbershop” harmonies of The Westchester Chordsmen – kicking off at 7 PM
