Iona College Mock Trial Team Qualifies For a Bid to Nationals

Mock TrialNew Rochelle, NY (February 15, 2012) For the fourth-consecutive year, the Iona College Mock Trial (ICMT) team has successfully qualified for a bid to the national championship. This past weekend, ICMT competed in the regional-qualifying tournament at Yale University and became one of the top eight teams in the 30 team regional field to receive bids to the opening rounds of the national championship to be held in Minnesota. Competition included teams from Columbia University, Brown University, Princeton University and Yale University, to name a few.

The City of New Rochelle is undertaking the preparation of a Five-Year Consolidated Plan (CP) for the years 2013-2017 and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). As a recipient of federal funding assistance from HUD, the City is required to prepare these documents every five years. The purpose of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan is to identify the City’s priority housing and community development needs for federal funds such as the Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds which benefit lower income persons. Future funding decisions by the City and the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will be based on, and must be consistent with, the priority needs identified in this plan.

Ms. Hausman brings more than 15 years experience to the Radisson, having worked previously as a General Manager for some of the leading hotel chains in the country including Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn by Marriott.

She has worked at hotels throughout the U.S. including in San Francisco, California; Memphis and Clarksville, Tennessee; Jacksonville and Ocala, Florida; Columbia, Missouri; Paducah, Kentucky and Metropolis, Illinois.

A native of Metropolis, Ms. Hausman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Southern Illinois University College of Business and Administration. Prior to entering the hospitality business, she had worked in the banking industry for 15 years.

She is the mother of two daughters, Haley and Hilary, and enjoys going to the movies, spending time with her Jack Russell dog, Jessie Olivia, traveling and making new friends.

2012 Paws Place Permits Now Available from New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Office

2012 Permits for Paws Place Dog Park at Ward Acres are now on sale at the Parks and Recreation Office, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle.

A copy of the current (paper) New York State dog license and current proof of rabies are required to renew or obtain a new permit. Proof of residency required for residency rate. Cash, check, money order and Visa or Mastercard credit cards are accepted.
