New Rochelle City Employee Exempts Herself from Parking Regulations at Trinity Elementary School

Trinity DurangoParking2

There have been quite a few complaints about a certain New Rochelle municipal employee who works for the New Rochelle Police Department and also works for the City School District of New Rochelle. Unlike teachers, staff and parents at the school, this particular employee has managed to obtain a special "reserved" parking space close to the school entrance. She has obtained that space by parking illegally on Davenport Avenue near the intersection with Pelham Road. Based on complaints from parents at the school, this has been going on for some time.

Dear Blabby: Will the Old Thruway Diner Ever Be Replaced?

DEAR BLABBY: I am still missing the old Thruway Diner since it closed to make way for a Walgreens at Main Street near Weyman Avenue. I recall hearing that there would be a new diner built in the corner of the Home Depot parking lot. What's happening with that?

Dear Missing the Old Thruway Diner,

According to my old friend City Councilman Lou Trangucci, a fine young man if there ever was one, the Home Depot would not sell its property to the owners of the Nautilus so they could build a diner on their parking lot. New Rochelle Development Commissioner Michael Freimuth was kind enough to invite me for a cup of tea yesterday and he tell me there might be a diner built on City property across the street from the old diner. He even sent me this lovely aerial photo of the site.

What to do if sued for illegally downloading video or music?

May 15, 2012 - 15:47

A Minnesota attorney contact from Google+ has a very nice summary on his blog about the issues a defendant faces when accused of illegally downloading a movie, video or song from the internet. Please check out the blog of Aaron D. Hall, Esq.:

http://minnesotaattorney.com/copyright-infringement-tips-for-illegal-mov...

Mr. Hall provides a helpful summary on how to evaluate one of these copyright infringement lawsuits, which are usually brought by a big company against a regular person, without the financial resources to battle a team of corporate attorneys.

He makes a good recommendation to communicate directly to the plaintiff’s attorney upon being sued to see if you can work out a settlement, but speak with an attorney before making such a communication to avoid saying something that could hurt you later in the litigation.

Gripedaddy is calling out Home Depot Founder Kenneth Langone to fix what has consistently been one of the worst Home Depot locations in the United States. Gripedaddy calls on Home Depot to make up for the poor service by underwriting the 2012 New Rochelle Fireworks Display.

Langone lives in Sands Point, NY just across the Long Island Sound from New Rochelle. He would actually be able to see the New Rochelle fireworks from his home.
