For many years, up until a couple of years ago, Maggie Skau was the PR person for the New Rochelle Board of Education.

From my perspective, her job appeared to be mostly to work to discredit me and Talk of the Sound. Maybe that's why she was fired -- she failed, spectacularly!

Before he left New Rochelle, former Development Commissioner Michael Freimuth shared with me this letter and analyst report on the commercial real estate market in Westchester. I had meant to include this information in a larger piece based on an interview with Freimuth on the view he expressed at an IDA meeting that he would like to see New Rochelle grow commercial real estate as a large part of its overall "portfolio".

Thomas A. Casale, a former longtime New Rochelle, resident and current resident of Stratford, CT., died on July 16, 2013. He was 43. Thomas was born on July 6, 1970 in New Rochelle to Anthony and Jemma (Antonucci) Casale. He was the Service Manager at Toyota of Stamford. In addition to parents he, is survived by his wife Diana (D'Antona) Casale; his son Thomas, his daughter Sophia; his brother Michael Casale; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Bridiga.
