2013 Leaf Collection Season Begins in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The City of New Rochelle Fall Leaf Collection will begin on Tuesday, October 15 and conclude at the end of December. Leaves must be either raked to the curb and stacked in long windrows, or bagged for pickup following the guidelines below. As an alternative to raking or bagging, the City is also encouraging property owners to mulch mow their leaves through the “Love ‘Em and Leave ‘Em” campaign.

Fight Breaks Out At New Rochelle White Plains Soccer Game.

A Fight broke out between players at a soccer game Wednesday afternoon between White Plains and New Rochelle that sent a player to the hospital and another player charged with 3 rd degree assault according to reports from the Journal News. The soccer game had to be stopped at halftime as police were called to break up the fighting. The game took place in New Rochelle and was cancelled after halftime.

RIP To A Mr. New Rochelle - Glasglow Lee

Glasglow was the steward of the Remington Branch Boys & Girls Club.
He heard the practice and perfection of the Drum and Bugle Corps
and the internationally renowned Charles W. Dickerson Marching Band.
What remains interesting about Glasglow
that he not only greeted us at the club but applauded us
when parents were not there.

More than a few folks have asked...

I recently moved, within New Rochelle, after 8 years at my previous address.

The move involved a great deal of work getting the new place ready to move in my family and packing up to leave the old house and unpacking and otherwise sorting things in the new house. We are mostly done, enough so that we can get back to normal.
