New Rochelle Launches Pothole Patrol

PotholePatroleNEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Bureau of Streets and Highways has begun pothole repair as conditions permit. To assist the City with pothole location and reporting, the public can use a 24 hour information phone line (914) 235-4029 or designated email [email protected] until April 30, 2014.

House Fire 33 Beechmont Drive New Rochelle

The New Rochelle fire department received a call from a homeowner about a smell of smoke in there home when the first engine pulled up they noticed heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters went to work quickly to get the fire under control. As of 3:20pm there were no injuries reported. Beechmont drive is closed from North Avenue to Montgomery Cicrle while fire crews battle the fire.

He was born on April 25,1926 to the late Miguel A. Suarez and Esperenza De Cardenas in Havana, Cuba where his father was a real estate developer.

Mario is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Raquel Suarez of New Rochelle, NY and by his loving children, Raquel (Alfonso) Martinez-Fonts of Washington, DC, Mario (Teresa) Suarez of Slingerlands, NY, Jorge (Janet) Suarez of Beaver, PA, Javier (Susan) Suarez of Lake Barrington, IL, Julio (Jean) Suarez of Plano, TX, Juan (Jennifer) Suarez of LaPlace, LA, Maria (Robert) Cox of New Rochelle, NY and Guillermo (Susan) Suarez of East Norwalk, CT.

The city and school campus will be gearing up for two teams of women players, divided based on hair color, in a bold and beautiful flag football game held to raise funds and help increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease among a new generation (Note: Redheads and other hair colors of choice are “free agents,” who can to play for either team).

Ken Jenkins Letter Imagines Plot to Make Jim Maisano Mayor of New Rochelle

I received a copy of this bizarre Ken Jenkins letter in December and forget to publish it. Mostly Ken Jenkins engages in conspiracy theories and sees racism and code words behind every Republican campaign. There is one aspect of the letter that pertains directly to New Rochelle with regard to a possible future race between Jim Maisano and Noam Bramson.
