NEW ROCHELLE, NY —- The City of New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation has announced the sponsorship of the free Summer Youth Nutrition Program for children within the City of New Rochelle. The Summer Youth Nutrition Program offers free meals to eligible sites starting June 30, 20134 through August 22, 2014.

New Rochelle Board of Education Partners with City to Study Impact of Development on Student Populations

The City of New Rochelle’s Department of Development in partnership with the New Rochelle Board of Education, is requesting professional consulting services to study the potential for student generation and the effects that will result from planned growth in the downtown. Specifically, the City is targeting firms that can identify expected development patterns from multiple scenarios of projected housing patterns in the city over the next ten years.
 

New Rochelle Mayor Bullies Council into Accepting Bad Shelter Program

This is absolutely ridiculous. But I suppose given the state of the city right now it is to be expected. Pocket Councilman, Fertel and Rackman reversed their decision to hold an open proposal on the shelter giving no reason of their doing so. I can only assume that some of the same tactics used in Echo Bay were used here. People are going to suffer. You may have heard me shout as I was leaving, it might not have been the best way to express how I felt but I am angry, and I think I have a right to be. Mostly at the things I heard last night.
