NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Two College of New Rochelle athletes were recognized by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) on Tuesday with weekly accolades. Senior Samantha Gomez (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) was named AD3I Women's Tennis Player of the Week and junior Tayler Fisher (Wilmington, DE/Conrad School of Science) earned AD3I Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the second week in a row.

Westchester Learns Of First EV-D68 Case: Offers Important Tips to Keep Families Healthy

WESTCHESTER, NY -- The first case of case of EV-D68 virus in Westchester has been confirmed by the New York State Health Department. The case involves a child who lives in a long-term care facility in the county, has multiple and significant underlying medical conditions and is currently hospitalized outside Westchester. For privacy reasons, the state has not made other information available about the child.

Artist Sin-ying Ho to Speak at The College of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Artist Sin-ying Ho will speak about her sculptural ceramic work at The College of New Rochelle on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. in Romita Auditorium in the Mooney Center. Ho’s work explores the “clash of cultures” between Asia and the West. After the lecture there will be a reception in the Mooney Center lounge for the artist. The lecture is sponsored by The College of New Rochelle School of Arts and Sciences Art Department.

Singer Caroline Doctorow Returns to Perform at The College of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Folksinger-Songwriter Caroline Doctorow will perform Songtrails Live! at The College of New Rochelle on Thursday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m. Doctorow’s show will include appearances by two recognized folk/Americana singer-songwriters, Julie Gold, Grammy winner for From a Distance, and Hugh Prestwood (Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame member). Also appearing will be Amelia Ellis, CNR alumna ’14, who has recently performed in New York City at venues such as the Bitter End and Path Café.
