Last Call - Tix to See Broadway Icons!

Last minute tickets are still available to see Broadway icons Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp perform tonight (Monday, Oct. 20th) at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck.

This performance benefits mental health programs at The Guidance Center of Westchester, a nonprofit agency which provides services to more than 5,000 people each year.

Bond Refinancing Nets Savings to New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Taking advantage of continued low market interest rates, the City last week sold approximately $10.6 million of general obligation refunding bonds (“refunding bonds”) to replace higher-interest 2005 Series A general obligation bonds. The maturity schedule of the refunding bonds mirrors that of the issue being refunded and will produce budgetary savings of $1,346,000 over the next nine years for an average savings to taxpayers of about $150,000 per year.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- During National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, Oct. 19 through 25, the Westchester County Department of Health encourages parents and caregivers to eliminate hazards at home that can cause lead poisoning in children and to assure their young children are tested for lead exposure.

Iona College Selected for Start-Up NY

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Iona College has received approval to participate in Start-Up NY. The program is intended to help start, expand or relocate qualified business to tax-free zones in New York State. Colleges throughout the state host these zones, and Iona is one of only two private institutions in Westchester County to be part of the program.
