Alexa Watts, the Woman Behind the Snowball Fight Viral Video

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Alexa Watts is the woman who shot video of a police incident in New Rochelle where a white police officer drew his weapon on black youths in which she claimed the youths had guns pointed out that because they were having a snowball fight. She can be seen shooting the video in NRPD Dash Cam video obtained under a Freedom of Information request by Talk of the Sound.

Phil Rossetti is something of a sad story. He is not a “good guy” but having surveilled him, researched him and reported on him it is hard not to feel just a bit of sympathy for the guy. I mean, he is a crook, there is no doubt about it, but my sense is that if he had come to work for people who were honest and kept an eye on him he would not have ended up in the position he is in today.

While there are many culprits, the person who may be most directly responsible for massive theft from the school may well be John Gallagher of Aramark. As I continue to roll out these stories about corruption involving both Buildings & Grounds and the Business Office in New Rochelle schools  — and they are going to keep coming for a good long while — it is good to keep in mind that Gallagher was at the nexus of both departments.

New Rochelle Board of Education Seeks to Drag New Rochelle Fire Department into Federal Lawsuit

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- Lawyers for the City School District of New Rochelle have today filed a request with District Judge Cathy Seibel in United States District Court to bring the New Rochelle Fire Department into an Americans With Disabilities Act lawsuit against the District brought by Jennifer Feltstein, a then-student at New Rochelle High School. Feltstein and a second mobility impaired student were not removed from the high school during a fire incident in 2013.

Blue Angels Basketball Remain Tied for First with 57-48 Win over Berkeley College

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- In critical HVIAC matchup, The College of New Rochelle posted a big, 57-48, win over Berkeley College tonight at the Wellness Center.  The win keeps the Blue Angels tied for the top spot in the conference standings.

 Jah-Leah Ellis posted game highs for CNR (11-8, 4-1 HVIAC) with 19 points and 24 rebounds.  Alyssa Pechin chipped in with 17 points.

Janay Thomas led Berkeley (13-9, 4-2 HVIAC) with 16 points.

Iona College Women Set School Records At Millrose Games

NEW YORK, NY -- Iona College women's indoor track junior Kate Avery and graduate student Rosie Clarke shined for the Gaels at the 108th New York Road Runners Millrose Games at the Armory Track & Field Center Saturday afternoon. Both harriers set school records in their respective events at the prestigious event.
