NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2014-15 Division III Metro Women’s Basketball All-Star Teams on Wednesday, and The College of New Rochelle senior forward Jah-Leah Ellis (Harlem, NY/Hun School of Princeton) has been selected to the Second Team.  The voting was completed by coaches within the ECAC Division III Metro Region.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - A sixth-inning rally by the Iona College softball team in game two of a doubleheader with Wagner earned the Maroon & Gold a split in non-conference action at Donald E. Walsh Field. The Gaels rallied from down a run the nightcap to win the game 4-3 following a 5-1 defeat in the opener.

BROOKLYN, NY - Highlighted by the first collegiate home run by rookie 3B Matt Flannery, the Iona College baseball team scored a season-high run total in a 13-5 win over LIU Brooklyn in non-conference action at LIU Field. Freshman RF Seth Hoagland and sophomore 2B Matt Byrne each had three hits for the Gaels in the victory.

After falling behind 2-0 following the first two innings, the Gaels responded with a crooked number third through seventh innings to pull away from the Blackbirds.

The College of New Rochelle to Host Castle Gallery “Creative Creatures” Family Day

On Sunday, April 19th, The Castle Gallery and The College of New Rochelle Art Club will host a fun-filled day of creative family activity. Children will use toilet paper rolls, markers, decorative paper and other materials to create something new, whether it is a bracelet, race car or creature, children will be challenged to be creative. In addition, tours of the Castle Gallery’s current exhibition “Not Really:” Fictive Narratives in Contemporary Art (11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) will be available for adults. They will also be invited to the closing reception of the exhibition from 2:00 p.m.

Right Reverend Monsignor William J. Bradley, on April 13, 2015 at the age of 83. Dear son of the late William J. and Mary (nee Kilgallon). Beloved brother of Margaret M. Laux of Norwalk, CT, Thomas A. and his wife Sally of Riverdale, NY and the late John F. Proud uncle of seven nieces and nephews, Edward, Thomas Laux, Mary Terese Campbell, Eileen Kyriacou, William Bradley, Janine Carlson, the late William and sixteen grandnieces and nephews. 

Iona College Women's Lacrosse Stopped at Canisius, 16-11

BUFFALO, NY- The Iona College women's lacrosse team fell to Canisius 16-11 in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference contest at Demske Sports Complex. The Gaels are 0-4 in MAAC play to start the 2015 campaign.

Iona was lead by sophomore Erin Pugh with four shots in the back of net, giving her a MAAC leading 34 goals on the season. The other Gaels to score were seniors Meghan Testoni and Casey Palmer, sophomore Rachelle Serafini and freshmen freshman Tori Anderson, Emma Hager and Jenna Tolzmann.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The College of New Rochelle softball team took the five-time defending HVIAC Champion St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn to the brink in the conference game Wednesday night at Flowers Park, scoring the most runs against the Lady Bears in the history of the series between the two teams.

The map is current as of December 31, 2014.
