NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Closing in on the 16-foot mark, Ryan Herrera-Murphy '16 vaulted a personal-best 15 feet, 9 inches to win the 121st Penn Relays Championship on April 25. The senior's first-place finish marked the second time in school history that an Iona Prep Gael has won an individual event at the Penn Relays.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY, April 23, 2015 – Judith Huntington, President of The College of New Rochelle, presented Sr. Dorothy Ann Kelly, OSU Scholarships to two high school students at the annual Westchester Women's Hall of Fame luncheon on March 27 held at The Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown.  President Huntington presented the scholarships to Rachel Guglielmo of White Plains High School and Ariana Silvestre of Saunders Trades and Technical High School in Yonkers, both of whom aspire to jobs in social service professions.

The jury selected Chambers from over 456 applicants from across the country. As the winner, she will receive a $5,000 cash prize and solo exhibition at Pelham Art Center, May 1 – June 13, 2015, with an opening reception and free hands-on all age workshop on Friday, May 1 from 6:30-8:00PM.

New Rochelle Public Library to Host Our Children, Our Artists Exhibit

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The 35th annual Our Children, Our Artists exhibit is on view in the Lumen Winter Gallery of the New Rochelle Public Library from May 4th through May 27th.  The art work of students in the city’s seven elementary schools will be on display from May 4th through May 14th; and the work of middle and high school students will be exhibited from May 20th through May 27th. The exhibit is curated by Erica Bogin, artist and art teacher.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --  Isaac E. Young Middle School student Rafael Diloné was the top speller in the New Rochelle districtwide Spanish Spelling Bee winners for 2015.
