WHITE PLAINS, NY --At the start of 2015, 39 of the top 50 digital news websites have more traffic to their sites and associated applications coming from mobile devices than from desktop computers. However, for half of these 50 sites, desktop visitors stay longer than mobile.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Former New York Mets World Series Champion Mookie Wilson made a special appearance at the A-Game Sports camp in New Rochelle, where he spent the morning as a guest coach. Wilson stressed to the kids the importance of knowing the fundamentals of baseball in order to be a good all around player commenting, "We are not teaching ESPN highlights, we are teaching proper baseball position!"

New Rochelle Public Library Inducts Trustees and Elects Officers

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Three members of the New Rochelle Public Library’s Board of Trustees were inducted at the board’s July 15th meeting. The length of terms was determined by the May 19th election. Charles F. Burke was inducted for a full five-year term. The other two board positions are fulfilling seats that were vacated before terms expired. Damon R. Maher will complete the remaining three years of a five-year term, and George K. Walters will complete the remaining two years of a five year term.

Third Year Freeze of Con Edison Electric Rates Approved

ALBANY, NY- The New York State Public Service Commission (Commission) today adopted the terms of a joint proposal extending for one year Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc.’s current electric rate plan. With this action, the Commission negated Con Edison’s request to increase its delivery rates for 2016 by 7 percent or more than $368 million. Instead, electric customers will see rates frozen for a third consecutive year.

More Than 160 County Employees Take Voluntary Separation Incentive

WHITE PLAINS, NY-Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino today announced that taxpayers will see $3 million in net savings next year, as a result of 162 county government employees taking part in a voluntary incentive to leave their jobs by July 31. Under the plan, departing employees receive $1,000 for every year of completed county service.
