Warm-up / Check-in: 7:15A-8A. Course Outline and Safety Talk 8:10.

Check-in Ends at 8AM SHARP. Race starts at 8:30

General Info: This will be a 2,000M “Out and Back” Swim from the Beach at Hudson Park.

All Participants must be 18 Years or older. Wetsuits permitted.

Warm-up will be allowed only after positive check-in and waiver signatures.

Swim takes place rain or shine. Caps will be required and furnished.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --The Iona College women's soccer team dropped its 2015 regular season opener 2-0 to LIU Brooklyn Friday afternoon at Mazzella Field.

The Blackbirds jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with what turned out to be the game-winner, when Tori Shinkowitz headed in a cross from Lucy Gunton-Jones in the ninth minute. Allegra Ondrejka registered the game's other goal in the 78th minute, lofting a shot just inside the top of the net from ten yards out.

WHITE PLAINS, NY --The Iona College men's soccer team tied for third in a vote by league's head coaches in the 2016 MAAC Preseason Men's Soccer Poll. The Gaels, and Rider, each finished with 87 points in the poll, finishing behind preseason favorite Monmouth (111 points) and Quinnipiac, who placed second with 95 points.

Iona Prep Graduate Takes Command of "Old Ironsides", USS Constitution

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Commander Robert S. Gerosa, Jr., Iona Prep Class of 1990 assumed command of the USS Constitution at the Charlestown Navy Yard in Massachusetts on August 14th.

Gerosa relieved Sean D. Kearns to become 74th commanding officer of Old Ironsides.

The USS Constitution is a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy, named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --Teacher, children's book author, community leader, beloved mother of seven. Wife of the late Herbert Hollender. A resident of New Rochelle for over 70 years, she taught in our public schools, served as a member of the United Way Board, and participated in local politics. For years, she shared the traditions and values of her Jewish Heritage as a teacher at Temple Israel's Religious School, and contributed her time and energy to interfaith causes. Her books Bible Stories for Little Children, written in rhyme, were enjoyed by generations of young children.

WHITE PLAINS, NY --County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced the return of Bicycle Sundays, sponsored by Con Edison and New York Presbyterian Hospital, on the Bronx River Parkway this fall for three consecutive Sundays on September 13, 20 and 27. “Westchester residents can enjoy the beginning of fall by admiring the changing leaves along the parkway during one of Westchester’s longest-running and beloved recreational programs,” Astorino said.

New Rochelle FD Responds to NYS Thruway Authority Blaze

Thick, acrid smoke filled the skies over the New York State Thruway Authority Maintenance complex as firefighters from Larchmont, New Rochelle and ultimately Harrison dumped thousands of gallons of water in an effort to bring the bring the massive fire under control. At least one firefighter was removed to an ambulance for what seemed to be smoke/heat issues.

Investigators are still in the process of determining the direct cause of the fire which completely consumed the building located along the Larchmont/New Rochelle border and sits alongside I95.
