NEW ROCHELLE, NY --  The College of New Rochelle Women's Volleyball team battled some of the toughest competition they will face this season at the Kean Invitational held this weekend at Kean University in New Jersey.  Despite coming up winless in their four matches, the Blue Angels went five sets with Gordon College and took a set from Gettysburg while keeping it close the remainder of the match. CNR fell 3-0 to the both the hosts and also to FDU-Florham.

Fisher Leads Cross Country at CSI Invitational

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --Senior Tayler Fisher (Wilmington, DE) led the way for the College of New Rochelle Cross Country team as they competed in the College of Staten Island Invitational on Sunday.

Fisher paced the Blue Angels with a 46th place finish in a field of nearly 120 runners from 13 different schools.  Suffolk County Community College finished atop the team totals with 28 points.  The hosts finished a distant 2nd place with 109 points.  New Rochelle placed 12th.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --  The Monroe College women's soccer team closed out its two game, Wyoming road trip, with a 2-1 victory over Laramie County Community College on Sunday.  A pair of first-half goals from Brooke Smith and Nicole Rivera ensured the win.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --The Iona College women’s soccer team fell for the fourth consecutive time Sunday afternoon, suffering a close 1-0 road loss to the Columbia Lions.

The Lions struck early, in the second minute, for the eventual game-winning goal. Rachel Alexander scored unassisted, and from that moment, the game remained in the hands of Columbia.

Gaels fall to Colorado State

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Iona College women’s volleyball team wrapped up the Texas Classic at Gregory Gym with a 3-0 loss to nationally ranked Colorado State.

The No. 14 ranked Rams handled the Gaels in the gatherings finale, using an attack percentage of 40.2% to carry them to victory. The Maroon and Gold fell in straight sets, 12-15, 22-25, and 15-25.

The leader for Iona during the match was freshman Claire Archiblad, who had team high eight kills. Freshman Amanda Gannon and junior Karly White each chipped in 5 as well.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Iona College men’s basketball head coach Tim Cluess announced the 2015-2016 schedule today in conjunction with the announcement of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference slate by the league office. The schedule features nine non-conference opponents including appearances in the Hardwood Classic in Valparaiso, IN and Corvallis, OR and the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic in Las Vegas, NV in addition to a double-round robin, 20-game conference slate.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Iona College women’s basketball head coach Billi Godsey has announced the program’s 2015-16 non-conference schedule. The 11-game slate is road heavy, featuring just three home games at the Hynes Athletics Center.  The eight remaining are scheduled away from New Rochelle, including three against 2014-15 NCAA tournament participating teams.
