NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Linda Rose Bertuzzi, a longtime resident of New Rochelle died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 9, 2015 at the age of 64. Linda was born in Syracuse, NY on March 12, 1951 to John and Ida Bernardon. She graduated Saint Francis of Assisi High School in 1969 and later graduated Iona College in 2005 with a degree in Health Care Administration. Beloved wife of Sergio Bertuzzi. Devoted mother of Kathy, Adrienne (Bruce) Mathers, and John. Stepmother to Sergio (Ellie) Bertuzzi. Dear sister of the late John Bernardon, survived by Arthur (Marie) Bernardon.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --Iona College President Joseph E. Nyre, Ph.D., has announced a new lecture series titled, “Advancing Ethical and Moral Leadership,” sponsored by the College’s Hagan School of Business. The series will offer practical examples of ethical leadership for young people and those in the working world.

The lecture series will kick off on Saturday, October 17, with a talk by William McGurn, Wall Street Journal columnist and former chief speechwriter for President George W. Bush.

Iona Volleyball Takes Out MAAC Leading Rider In Four

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --The Iona College volleyball team stunned previously unbeaten Rider with a four-set victory in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Hynes Center. The Gaels rallied from five points down early and a Broncs set point in the final set to seal the win. The Maroon & Gold took the first set 25-22 before Rider evened the match in set two 25-21. Iona rallied in the final two sets 25-20 and 26-24 over its guests.
