NEW YORK, NY -- Con Edison has been named winner of the 2015 ReliabilityOne™ Award for Outstanding System-Wide Reliability for the eighth year in a row.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, ReliabilityOne™ Awards are given annually to the utilities that have achieved outstanding reliability performance and have excelled in delivering the most reliable electric service to customers.

The company also won the Regional ReliabilityOne™ Award for the Northeast region.

Monroe Football Falls to Lackawanna on Homecoming, 50-0

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College football team fell to Lackawanna College, 50-0, in a football game played at City Park in New Rochelle on Saturday night.  The Homecoming game capped off a day that started with the Monroe Miles, had a carnival for kids, and then the game.

The officials stopped the game with 5:16 remaining in the fourth quarter.  Ryan Fulse was the offensive standout for Monroe.  The first-year running back rushed for 76 yards on 12 carries.  Michael Kwegyir-Attah had 12 tackels and pass break up.

Monroe Volleyball Goes 3-1 in Jacksonville Tournament

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe volleyball team went 3-1 in the Florida State College - Jacksonville tournament over the weekend.  The Mustangs got wins over Gadsden, Central Florida College and Florida State College-Jacksonville.  Monroe fell to Miami Dade. The team is now 34-2 on the season.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College women's soccer team faced one of its toughest challenges of the season on Saturday in Schoolcraft College and for nearly 85 minutes, it looked like Monroe's seven game winning streak would come to an end, but a pair of Aline Delima goals in the final six minutes of play lifted the Mustangs to a 2-1 win in a game played in Perrysburg, Ohio.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- A day after defeating Schoolcraft College, the Monroe College women's soccer team made it a perfect roadtrip, with a 7-1 drubbing Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio, on Sunday.  The win was the teams ninth-straight as Monroe improved to 9-1 on the season.

Men’s Cross Country Wins Second-Consecutive Regional Championship

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College men's cross country team, on the heels of a strong overall performance, ran its way to its second-straight Region 15 Championship, in a meet hosted by St. Joseph's College at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, New York, on Saturday. 

Mpho Makofane was the overall winner and the Region XV Champion as well.  He posted a blazing time of 27:53.6

Monroe Volleyball Beats Nassau C.C. for the Fourth Time this Season

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College volleyball team defeated Nassau Community College, 3-0, to im prove to 35-2 on the season.  The victory, which was the fourth over Nassau had scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-13.  The team wore pink to help raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

The game was the fifth-annual Dig Pink game for breast cancer awareness and prior to the game, the Mustangs honored Janet Henry, a 15-year breast cancer survivor and current Monroe College culinary student.  She was presented with flowers and a team bag.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Behind two assists from sophomore Marcos Nunez, the Iona College men’s soccer team won their second consecutive MAAC contest Saturday afternoon on the road against the Siena Saints.

The Gaels scored their first of the day in the 16th minute when Nunez fed a pass to Luis Mendoza at the top of the box, where he then fired in a shot just under the cross bar for his second goal of the season.
