NEW YORK, NY -- Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today announced that his office and the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) have settled an investigation into The Advance Group (TAG), a consultant for New York City political campaigns. The joint investigation centered on the 2013 New York City election cycle, specifically whether TAG improperly engaged in unlawful coordination by serving as both an agent for individual candidates for public office as well as for entities making independent expenditures on behalf of some or all of those candidates.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- New Rochelle District 5 City Council candidate Jeffrey Hastie failed to establish an official campaign committee when he began soliciting campaign donations this summer and failed to file campaign contributions and expenditure information for the general election by the October 2, 2015 deadline, according to a statement issued Friday by Barry Fertel’s campaign committee.

“Campaign finance disclosure requirements are not mere technicalities; they are essential to the openness and transparency of government,” said Council Member Barry Fertel.

Stop & Shop set to Begin Conversion of 25 Former A&P Stores

NEW YORK, NY --  The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC today announced it will begin converting 25 A&P stores it is acquiring on Thursday, October 8th.  During this process, groups of up to five stores will temporarily close for approximately 7 days and all of the conversions are expected to be completed by Friday, November 13th.  The first wave of Stop & Shop grand openings is planned for Friday, October 16th and will include these locations:

-  East Hampton Store – 67 Newtown Lane

-  Southampton – 167 Main Street

-  The Bronx – 961 East 174th Street

Fall Leaf Collection Begins 2015

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Fall Leaf Collection will begin in the City of New Rochelle on Tuesday, October 13 and conclude at the end of December.  All leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or open containers weighing no more than 75 lbs. for collection. Remember: Loose leaves will not be picked up.

This year, weekly leaf collection will follow four routes. Bags and containers can be placed at the curb anytime but must be placed at curb by 7AM on the following days for pickup:
