NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- This morning, IEYMS students, faculty and staff recognized E Pluribus Unum Day by celebrating the spirit of immigration. Many wore clothing from their country of origin and embraced the great diversity and passion within the school. The festivities will continue tonight with an international dinner from 6 to 8 pm. All are welcome!

Iona Golf Places Second at Monmouth Invite

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Iona College golf team returned to North American style golf at the Monmouth Hawk Invitational Friday afternoon.  The Gaels placed second of four competing teams, shooting 309 (+21) as a team, 12 shots greater than the Invite winner Fairleigh Dickinson.

Sophomore Kevin Kramarski led the Gaels finishing tied for fourth, shooting a 75 (+3). The Palmyra, NJ used the par fours to his advantage, shooting them collectively at -1, best among all golfers competing.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Iona College women’s soccer team won its first conference game of the seasonWednesday night, defeating Fairfield on the road, 4-3. The Gaels ended a nine-game losing streak using a three-goal offensive barrage in the second half in addition to an outstanding defensive effort. It was the Maroon & Gold's first win over Fairfield since 2011.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- With 21 seconds left in double, sophomore Jonathan Hulbert’s point-blank, man-up goal gave the Iona men’s water polo team a comeback 12-11 victory over arch-rival Fordham University in a key CWPA North match.  The back-and-forth battle at Messmore Aquatic Center featured five lead changes and nine ties.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Penn State Behrend Women's Volleyball team swept the College of New Rochelle 3-0 in the first contest of the Union Tournament on Friday night and at the same brought an end to the Blue Angels 10 game winning streak.  The Lions, from Penn State's campus in Erie Pennsylvania, handed CNR its first loss in almost a month by scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-21.

Skidmore Stifles Womens Volleyball

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle Womens Volleyball team suffered its third straight setback at the hands of Skidmore College in the final match of the Union Quds, held at Union College on Saturday.  The non-conference loss drops CNR to 13-7 on the season.

Skidmore nearly doubled the Blue Angels in offense, recording 62 kills compared to CNR's 32.  The result a 3-1 victory by set scores of 10-25, 15-25, 25-20, 18-25.
