NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Alfred John Raffio Sr., a beloved member of the New Rochelle community and U.S. veteran, passed away on January 10, 2016 at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE at the age of 85. Mr. Raffio was born on May 6, 1931 in New Rochelle, NY to parents Emilio Raffio and Carmellia Raffio Spalleno. Mr. Raffio was employed by the Ursuline School of New Rochelle for many years, touching the lives of countless students, teachers and faculty members with his humor, care, and pride of work. The Ursuline community held a special place in his heart.

Survived by her husband of 50 years, Henry Mangone, daughter Deborah Banks and her husband John, and grandchildren William, Jillian and Matthew Banks. Funeral Mass Friday, Jan. 22 at 10am. IHM Church, Scarsdale, NY.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Glenn "Lee" Houk of New Rochelle, NY passed away on January 4, 2016, he was 84 years old. Born to Ruth and Dale Houk in Pennsylvania, Lee, as he was known, grew up in an academic setting. Lee's father was Dean at the Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. He much admired his parents and would follow in his father's footsteps as an educator. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army, Lee went on to receive his Masters in Education. He also would head to Michigan State to marry and settle down with his wife, Joanne.
