NEW YORK, NY -- Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman announced today a re-launch of his office’s online public data portal, NYOpenGovernment.com. For the first time, lobbying disclosures collected by the Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) can be matched to specific bills proposed and passed in the New York State legislature. Users will be able to track more easily what issues lobbyists and their clients are advocating, and how they result in specific legislation.

NEW YORK, NY -- Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today issued a consumer alert warning both consumers and businesses about price gouging ahead of this weekend's winter storm that is expected to impact parts of New York State. A blizzard watch is in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon for New York City and Long Island. Snow accumulation could reach up to 12 inches, and wind gusts are expected up to 50 miles per hour. A winter storm watch is also in effect for parts of the Hudson Valley.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --  The Iona College women’s basketball team cruised to a 73-46 win Thursday evening, taking down the Niagara Purple Eagles at the Hynes Athletics Center.  Freshman Alexis Lewis scored 21 and pulled down 10 rebounds, finishing with her first career double-double.  Senior Aaliyah Robinson scored 16 points, hitting four-of-seven from beyond the arc; she also dished out a season-high four assists.
