NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle Women's Basketball team remained unbeaten in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a convincing 85-46 win over Vaughn College Tuesday night.  CNR blew open a narrow 36-30 halftime lead by outscoring Vaughn by 20 points in the third quarter.  CNR is now 3-0 in the league and 7-11 overall, while the Warriors fall to 1-9 overall and 1-3 in the league.

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- Alzheimer’s disease can often leave family members feeling helpless. But not Jack Phillips. 

As a student at Mamaroneck High School, he was determined to help his ailing grandmother and her caregivers. And he’s done so using a technology that most people have right in the palm of their hands – a mobile app. Last year he and a team of five other students developed an app that assists with tasks such as remembering faces and names, managing schedules, and even tracking patients using GPS.

NEW YORK, NY -- Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) today filed rate proposals for its electric and gas delivery services beginning in 2017 to fund infrastructure investments that will give customers greater control over their electric usage and bills; improve service reliability, and help integrate new clean energy technologies into the grid. The company’s gas main replacement program also will be accelerated, enhancing safety and facilitating conversion of oil heating systems to cleaner natural gas.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- For the first time ever, New Rochelle will hold open meetings of build-level Health & Safety Committees.

Starting Monday at Webster and Barnard, the current draft Building Condition Survey (BCS) will be reviewed during February public meetings of each school's Health and Safety Committee. Consultation with the committee is required to finalize the BCS.
