Iona College President Joseph E. Nyre, Ph.D., who launched the series to give practical examples of ethical leadership for young people, said Bigelow and her family-owned business are known for being committed to good business practices and integrity.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --  Iona Preparatory School senior Bernardas Garbacauskas has long had visions of performing on the grandest stages. This Saturday his dream will become a reality.

An 18-year-old baritone who began singing as a youngster and attained star status in his native Lithuania, he will take the stage for a solo recital at The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center’s Morse Hall beginning at 4 p.m.

NEW YORK, NY --Site Provides Fishing Access in an Urban Area Close to the Thruway and the City of Kingston

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation celebrated Earth Day 2016 with the grand opening of a new fishing access and car-top boat launch on the Lower Esopus Creek off Sandy Road in the Town of Ulster Friday.

This is DEC's first fishing access on the Lower Esopus Creek and covers 200 feet of creek frontage. It was designed to withstand large fluctuations in water level and be as accessible as possible given the steep grade.

The ROD describes the remedy selected to address contamination associated with a portion of the site.

NEW YORK, NY -- The Record of Decision (ROD) for the Crystal Cleaners Site (NYSDEC Site #: 360053) (Pelham, Westchester County) has been issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC). The ROD describes the remedy selected to address contamination associated with the site.

The site has been used as a dry cleaning facility for several decades. Contaminants of concern include volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These chlorinated solvents typically are used in dry cleaning operations.

PELHAM, NY -- Pelham Art Center is pleased to present Creative Dissent: Arts of the Arab Spring Uprisings, a traveling exhibition that highlights the artistic expression of democratic uprisings that arose independently and spread across the Arab world in 2011, on view May 6 through June 4, 2016. In conjunction with Creative Dissent, contemporary Iranian artist Negin Sharifzadeh exhibits her sculptural and multi-media in Negin Sharifzadeh: Laments in Gray with a personal and female perspective, on view May 6 through June 25, 2016.
