Tony Hernandez Improves to 5-0 in 15-1 Win Against Globe Institute of Technology

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Southpaw Tony Hernandez kept his unblemished record intact with a 15-1 victory over Globe Institute of Technology on Monday at Westchester Community College. The pitcher threw six innings, allowing only three hits. Jose Sierra tossed a scoreless seventh inning.

Hernandez got much more help than he needed as Monroe slugged 14 hits, including three triples. Endy Villalona led the offensive onslaught with three hits and three runs scored. Ronald Jackson drove in three runs and scored twice.

Astorino will join with Operation Prom founder and president Noel D’Allacco to thank Macy’s and invite students to take part in the 13th annual Operation Prom Dress Giveaway taking place later this month.

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- Westchester County Police today released a sketch of the man who was found dead along the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers earlier this month.

“We are hoping that a member of the public will recognize this individual and help us to identify him,” Public Safety Commissioner George N. Longworth said. “I urge anyone with information about this person to contact us.”

PELHAM, NY -- Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced that Brendan Cronin (DOB 12/11/86) of 60 Ball Avenue, Yonkers New York was sentenced today to nine years in state prison on each felony count after having plead guilty on September 22nd, 2015 to:

•two counts of Attempted Murder, class “B” Felonies,

•two counts of Assault in the First Degree, class “B” Felonies,

•one count of Driving While Intoxicated, a class “A” Misdemeanor.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Marilyn Chodosh Lieberman left us peacefully in her sleep on April 10 at the age of 80. Loving wife of 42 years of the late Howard S. Lieberman and daughter of the late Arthur Chodosh and Sylvia Birnbaum Chodosh, she was a longtime resident of New Rochelle, NY and recently of Rye, NY. She was born on October 3, 1935 in New York, NY, graduated from Bronx High School of Science ('53), the College of New Rochelle, and earned her Masters Degree at Hunter College School of Social Work. She worked for many years at the Clear View School in Scarborough, NY.
