Nicola was a resident of New Rochelle, New York at the time of his passing.

Visiting will be Thursday 2-4 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday 10 am at St. Joseph�s Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Former Iona College women's cross country & track and field runner Maya Rehberg competed in the 2016 Olympic Games and the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Estádio Olímpico João Havelange this morning. Rehberg did not advance to Monday's final after her 15th place performance in the third of three heats in the event.

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- In honor of those whose lives were lost or forever changed by the tragic events of September 11, 2001, County Executive Robert P. Astorino will join with Volunteer New York! and Robison Oil to host the “9/11 Day Serve + Remember” volunteer opportunities from Friday, September 9, through Sunday, September 11, 2016. Service projects will kick off from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 9, at the County Center in White Plains, and will run throughout the weekend at locations across Westchester and the surrounding area.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- A third former member of the Iona College cross country / track & field program competes in the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in the athletics portion of the event. Former Gael standout Anna Holm Baumeister (née Jørgensen) represents Denmark in the women's marathon event this Sunday (Aug. 14).

Starting and finishing at the famous Sambódromo, a parade area built for the Rio Carnival, the event kicks off Aug. 14 at 9:30 am ET. Coverage of the event will be aired live on NBC and via livestream on NBCOlympics.com.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- With the Games of the XXXI Olympiad beginning this week, two former Iona College student-athletes will have the bright lights shining on them tonight in the opening ceremony at Maracanã Stadium. Leonard Korir '12 and Maya Rehberg starred for the cross country / track and field programs during their tenure in New Rochelle and next weekend compete on the biggest stage of their career at the 2016 Olympic Games. The two former Gael stand outs are among the 11,000+ athletes from 206 countries at Rio 2016 and are the first Olympians in school history.
