New Rochelle Student Housing Business Registration Property List and Google Map

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Talk of the Sound has obtained the list of properties registered so far New Rochelle Student Housing Business Registration program, approved by the City Council last summer to go into effect this fall.

The new ordinance requires all Student Housing businesses to register no later than September 30 of each year. Each year’s registration expires on May 31 with new registration required each year beginning on June 1.There is no fee to register; however, failure to comply with with the ordinance could result in penalties.

Jefferson PTA BBQ a Success

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --The Jefferson PTA hosted a welcome BBQ for the school community on Sept. 23, where families enjoyed the weather, food, music and activities. Many students participated painting Garden Stones for its community garden beds. 

Toy gift baskets generously donated by and Family 4 pack of New York Yankee ticket raffles was a hit! The event brought families together and increased awareness in the PTA's work.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- New Rochelle Police will be on alert this weekend following reports that New Rochelle High School students have planned a heavily sexualized “Road Rally” event similar to a scavenger hunt involving drugs, alcohol and public nudity.  The activities are planned to take place throughout New Rochelle including on private property, public streets, and school grounds.

STOMP Out Bullying™ is the leading national bullying and cyberbullying prevention organization for kids and teens. It is recognized as the most influential anti-bulling organization in America. Blue Shirt Day signifies the importance of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, which is October.
