Astorino Announces Return of Co-ed Volleyball Tournament to Westchester County Center

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced that registration is now open for the Westchester County Co-ed Volleyball Tournament, to be held Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 4 and 5, 2017, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

“We’re bringing the fun indoors where energetic Westchester residents can maintain their fitness and vigorous lifestyle, “Astorino said.

Over the years, Iona College has earned millions in profits from illegal student housing, using sub-standard and overcrowded student housing to manage excess student capacity due to a limit on available on-campus and near-campus dormitory space.

BUSTING TAX CAP: City of New Rochelle Proposes 7.36% Tax Levy Increase to Fund $150,000,000 10 Year Capital Budget

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Just weeks after the New Rochelle City Council voted to give itself a raise, the City administration is proposing to bust the tax levy cap with a a major tax increase to fund a $150,000,000 10 year capital budget.

City Manager Charles B. Strome released the Fiscal Year 2017 proposed budget for the City of New Rochelle this morning at a press conference at City Hall. The budget of $202,194,704 includes a major investment in capital infrastructure based on a 10 year capital budget of $150,000,000.
