New Rochelle Mayor Bramson Delivers Emotional State of the City Address

March 09, 2017 - 03:17

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Mayor Noam Bramson was overcome with emotion not once but twice during tonight’s annual State of the City Address in New Rochelle.

Delivered for the first time in more than 30 years at City Hall to an overflow crowd, the Mayor used the second half of his 56 minute speech to deliver a thinly-veiled rebuke to President Donald Trump and his supporters in the form of recognizing immigrants living in New Rochelle, some legal some not, who have made a positive contribution to their local community and society overall.

Probe into Financial Fraud in New Rochelle Athletic Director's Office Widens, Sources

March 07, 2017 - 14:05

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The investigation into financial fraud in the Athletic Director's Office at the City School District of New Rochelle has widened to include two victims and multiple incidents of fraud, sources say.

A forensic audit by the District's outside auditors began last week after a coach working for the District filed a criminal complaint alleging that Marisol Martell, the senior AD Office administrator working under Athletic Director Steve Young, forged a signature on a payroll check and pocketed the proceeds.
