NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Robert passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016.

Robert was a resident of New Rochelle, New York at the time of passing.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Church in Ossining on Friday, September 30th at 10 am, with visitation at 9 am. 

In addition, a wake will be held on Thursday, September 29th at St. Augustine's School from 5:30 ' 8:30 pm. 

Burial will follow the Mass at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in New Rochelle.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Giacinta Mary Armiento Hughes was born in New Rochelle, NY on November 8, 1924 to Vito and Maria Simone Armiento. She graduated from Albert Leonard High School in New Rochelle in 1942 and worked as bookkeeper. She married Felix "Pete" Hughes at St Gabriel's Church in New Rochelle in 1949. Survived by their son Felix "Hap" Hughes (Donna), grandchildren Felix (Robin) and Catherine Marie Hughes and two great grandchildren, Riley Lee Ann and Ryder Skye. She was predeceased by her brother Bernard V. Armiento.

NEW YORK, NY -- Beginning Friday, May 12th, Stop & Shop customers will have the opportunity to help support pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) by purchasing discount coupons at checkout. Customers will receive $10 worth of coupons for just a $2 donation, and a new series of coupons will be made available every two weeks during the eight week fundraising effort. The coupons will be available at all area Stop & Shop stores.

Harry Kyreakedes (DOB 12/01/89) was arraigned on an indictment today before Judge Susan Cacace and charged with: 

•one count of Vehicular Manslaughter in the First Degree, a class “C” Felony,

•one count of Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a class “D” Felony,

•one count of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated Per Se, an unclassified Misdemeanor,

•one count of Driving While Intoxicated, an unclassified Misdemeanor

Pelham Woman Charged in Wrong-Way Crash On The Hutch

VALHALLA, NY — A Pelham woman was formally charged on Wednesday night with a felony and two misdemeanors in connection to the wrong-way crash that occurred the previous night on the Hutchinson River Parkway in New Rochelle.

Joanna Logan, 42, of Wolfs Lane was taken into custody by Westchester County Police following her release from Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx last night. She was charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, a felony, and Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving, misdemeanors.

Several days ago, I tweeted about the connection between special parking privileges obtained by Alvin & Friends after he gave money to the New Rochelle Police Foundation:

“Alvin gave $$ to NRPD Commish Carroll Foundation; NRPD Commish Carroll gave Alvin control over public parking lot for private valet parking.”

Gwen Clayton Alvin’s wife, replied:
