NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Rosemarie Burns, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on November 1, 2016. She was 76.

Rosemarie was born on April 30, 1940 in Pelham to Edward and Margaret (Freeman) Burns. She worked for many years as a salesperson for The Grand Store in Pelham. She was predeceased by her sister Sr. Eileen Burns OSF and her brother Msgr. A. Francis Burns. She enjoyed the companionship of her cousins, many friends and her extended family, The Sisters of St. Francis.

Rosemarie beamed in our lives like the lighthouses she loved so dearly.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Patricia was born on November 22, 1920 and passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

Patricia was a resident of New Rochelle, New York at the time of passing.

Visiting will be Friday 2-4pm at Sisto Paino Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle NY where a funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday morning. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Brothers from New Rochelle were chosen by JDRF, the leading global organization focused on type one diabetes(T1D) research, to join a delegation of children and celebrity advocates in Washington, D.C. this summer at JDRF 2017 Children's Congress from July 24-26. Ethan, 16, and Ari Mayblum, 10 will join nearly 160 other children from around the U.S. to lobby their Members of Congress and remind them of the vital need to support T1D research that could reduce the burden of this disease and ultimately find a cure.

WHITE PLAINS, NY --  A public hearing on the Westchester County Airport’s draft master plan will be held on Thursday, July 27 at 7 p.m. in the Little Theater at the Westchester County Center.

The public hearing will include a presentation of the draft master plan and an opportunity for attendees to comment on the draft plan.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and there will be free parking at the County Center parking lot.
