NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- New Rochelle Police yesterday arrested a 15 year-old juvenile related to the Valaree Schwab homicide. The suspect has been arrested and charged as a juvenile with Hindering Prosecution and Tampering With Physical Evidence. His name was withheld by police due to his age. As a juvenile his case will be adjudicated in Family Court.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Marisol Martell, 47, of Elmsford, NY was arraigned today on a 49-count felony complaint in New Rochelle City Court on charges related to her theft of money from the New Rochelle School District while working as a school secretary in the Athletic Department Office.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Board of Education last night accepted the resignation of board member Maddali Atallah. The Board chose to leave the seat, which was vacated immediately, vacant until the next regularly scheduled school district election on May 15.
Atallah, who had been serving in the capacity of vice president for the board, cited personal reasons for the decision she had been considering for some time. Board member Jeffrey Hastie was chosen to serve as the new vice president through the end of the school year.

More people than ever are using E-ZPass, as sales of On-The-Go tags jumped 22 percent in 2017 from 2016, setting a new record of 131,175 tags sold. Sales of On-The-Go tags have more than doubled since 2012.
