New Rochelle School Supervisor Resigns Following Heroin Bust

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Mike Umbro has resigned effective immediately, according to school district sources.

Umbro was a senior facilities management supervisor at the Albert Leonard Middle School.

His resignation comes in the wake of his arrest on June 21st when New Rochelle police found packets of heroin shoved down his pants following a traffic stop on Fifth Avenue near City Park.

Plant Operations Supervisor at New Rochelle Middle School Busted for Dealing Heroin

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- A senior facilities management supervisor of the City School District of New Rochelle is facing serious criminal charges after police found packets of heroin shoved down his pants following a traffic stop.

Michael A. Umbro, 55, of 19 Whitfield Terrace in New Rochelle, NY was arrested by New Rochelle Police at 635 Fifth Avenue on the afternoon of June 21st and charged with Criminal Possession of Narcotic Drug with Intent to Sell in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Special four-day workshops for elementary school children are being offered at the main New Rochelle Public Library in July and August.
