NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- “Tips, Tools & Techniques for Job Search Success” is a series of free monthly workshops provided by the New Rochelle Public Library.  NRPL’s Job Readiness Coach, Rebecca Mazin, will be giving concrete advice and guidance to those seeking new or improved employment.  The first session, “Pick Two; Targeting Your Online Job Search,” will take place on Saturday, September 15th, from 3:00 – 4:30 pm, in the library’s first floor Meeting Room. In this session, Ms. Mazin will take participants through an actual job search, using employment-related sites on the Internet.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The New Rochelle Public Library Board of Trustees September meeting will take place on third Thursday of the month, September 20th, rather than its usual date of the second Thursday of the month.  This is due to the fact that the library’s theater-meeting room is an election polling location, and the Primary Election will take place on Thursday, September 13th.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The 103rd Annual Open Juried Exhibition of the New Rochelle Art Association will be held at the New Rochelle Public Library from the afternoon of Saturday, September 15th through Monday, October 29th.  The exhibit will feature original works in oil/acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, pastel, graphics, sculpture, fine crafts and photography.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The New Rochelle Public Library in conjunction with WEBS Career and Educational Counseling Service is once again offering a free eight-week career counseling seminar for adults this winter called “Managing Your Career in Changing Times”. The program is geared to those who are unemployed, changing careers, re-entering the work force or returning to school.

09/08 BID Farmers Market’s Fall Performances Begin with Bokandeye African Dance and Drums Troupe 12 PM

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Saturday “Grand Market” in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green will feature a free performance by the popular Bokandeye African Dance and Drum Troupe on Saturday, September 8th, from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm. Under the direction of Anthony Wooden, the traditional sounds and movements of Africa come to life, as Bokandeye’s costumed dancers perform to the exuberant beats of the drums.
