Tickets are on sale now at The Westchester County Center and Ticketmaster. The Hanneford family is planning a new and exciting traditional Circus performance this year, the first without elephants and tigers due to a recent legislation in New York State.

Three Iona College Students Earn Prestigious Stanford University Fellowships

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Three Iona College students have earned prestigious Stanford University fellowships that train students to become entrepreneurs and change agents of higher education on their respective campuses.

The Iona students – Tiara Griffith, Elijah Ware and Alberto Goncalves – have been accepted into the University Innovation Fellows, or UIF, after a rigorous application process for a program that involves an intensive six-week program of study in design thinking, entrepreneurial mindset and startups.

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced cashless tolling at the final two fixed-price barriers on the New York State Thruway will be completed by Dec. 20.

New Rochelle Man Pleads Guilty In Shooting of Yonkers Police Officer

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Frank Valencia, 19, of New Rochelle pleaded guilty to charges related to the shooting of a Yonkers Police Officer in Sept. 2017, and an unrelated case in New Rochelle.

He pleaded guilty before Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit to these specific charges: 2 counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder of a Police Officer, a class A felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony.

When sentenced, he could receive a maximum sentence of life in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb 8, 2019.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- School board members may be feeling a bit of whiplash this evening as the District has now had 3 people as Assistant Superintendent for Business & Administration in a month.

Frank Ferraro was “hired” by the New Rochelle Board of Education to replace Jeff White as Assistant Superintendent for Business & Administration. We had prepared a file on Ferraro who was run out of Kearney, NJ in 2014 with 2 years to go on his Superintendent contract.
