Cole will play a set of romantic jazz favorites, followed by a set of audience requests, where specific songs can be dedicated to loved ones. Cole is at the heart of New York’s jazz and cabaret scenes and has performed around the world.

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- Celebrate the Year of the Pig with an afternoon of traditional Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese music, dance, crafts, games and food. The fun begins at 1pm, with hands-on workshops that introduce participants to the art of Chinese decorative knotting and Korean hand-drumming and dance. A cultural performance will follow, including the mysterious and colorful Bian Lian “face changing” mask dance of the Sichuan opera, Korean and Chinese folk dances, and instrumental performances by award-winning musicians.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Mike Umbro, 55, was sentenced yesterday by Judge Anthony Carbone in New Rochelle City Court to 3 year’s probation and a $200 fine. Umbro pleaded guilty on October 3, 2018 to a reduced charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Volunteer New York! Provides Calming Neck Pillows

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Students at Jefferson Elementary School received a calming gift on Wednesday when the organization Volunteer New York! donated 45 therapeutic neck pillows fashioned out of fluffy socks weighted with rice.

"I like it because you can take it anywhere, even on an airplane, and it will keep you calm," said fifth-grader Amira Bedell.

Teachers and Students Game Earns Donations for Organizations

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Is it really important who won the recent teachers-versus-students soccer game? (OK, it was the students.) The true winners were the organizations that received donations from the more than $1,000 raised by the 13th annual event through small admissions fees paid by participants and fans.

The game was organized by the Hispanic Culture Club and the New Rochelle High School varsity boys soccer team. The teams met in the NRHS gymnasium on Dec. 8.
