R.I.P. New Rochelle

November 10, 2011 - 02:40
16 comments

The City of New Rochelle passed on November 8, 2011. Since 1992, New Rochelle had fell ill. Political leaders have slowly bled the life from this once great City. Major thoroughfares, once lined with prosperous businesses now sit desolate. A once great school system now plagued with substandard administrators and inadequate educators. Respected City officials have been replaced with the most corrupt, thieving, nepotistic, two-faced politician ever to roam the earth.

On November 8th, New Rochelle voters officially sealed the faith of New Rochelle. Our corrupt mayor Noam Bramson along with the four elected democrat council members now hold a super majority voting power, which means the mayor will pretty much bankroll anything he wants with no interferences from anyone. With a super majority, Bramson can now override the property tax cap that Govenor Cuomo set into place to protect NY State property owners.

Board of Education's New Motto, “Desperate times call for desperate actions, as long as we aren’t affected by them."

March 14, 2011 - 18:14

It truly is a bit disturbing how people quickly change topics with regards to the school budget layoffs of over 100 employees, with most being teachers. The budget is purely, 100% for the benefit of all New Rochelle Public School students. They are priority #1 and they are the main recipients of every dime paid by taxpayers. The budget is created to provide quality education and programs for New Rochelle Public School students. If, and only if there is some extra funding and should the Board of Education feel 100% satisfied that the New Rochelle student population is 100% taken care of, then and only then should funding be allocated to residential children attending grades K-5 in private schools located in district first, and out of district second.

New Rochelle Board of Education, Please Save Our Children

The past two Board of education meetings have been dominated by public speakers on the sole issue of out of district busing for student enrolled in private schools, primarily to the SAR Academy in Riverdale, NY and The French American School in Larchmont, NY. Both schools are wonderful and are highly respected institutions and many New Rochelle residents would love to send their children there, but…and this is where it gets interesting, tuition at both this institutions cost over $21,000 per student per academic year. The SAR Academy’s tuition for K-8 is an astonishing $21,300, plus a $4,000 building fund per family per year. The French American School’s tuition for k-8 is a whopping $21,400 - $23,420 (depending on grade), plus an additional $2,000 per student per year for ESL.

Now, if you can afford to send your children to any of these schools, you make more than enough to pay for busing your child to and from your home to the school. For that tuition, the school should include busing for those that need it.

Board of Ed Budget Meeting II - Help Keep the Arts Alive

March 08, 2011 - 20:54

New Rochelle Board of Education is having yet another Budget Meeting at New Rochelle High School Library @ 7PM. Not sure of the specifics on the agenda, but it seems as if they will discuss program cuts, especially within our elementary schools. And of course, music & arts, which children need in their elementary development stages, may be on the chopping block. Funny how a City which claims to be so pro the arts, places the arts on the chopping block so quickly. There are many studies out there that show the vital importance of the arts in the elementary level and there are hundreds of children that participate within these programs throughout our district. Music and art are proven programs that reflect higher grades in those students that participate within the programs then those students who are not. By cutting the music and arts programs in the elementary schools, the Board of Education will be choking the middle and high school music and art programs in the near future. This will lead to more future layoffs due to enrollment and the death of a now vibrant program. The elementary music & art programs have seen positive growth over the last ten years.

Organisciak & New Rochelle School Board are Out of Their Minds...

Organisciak and the rest of the school board are out of their minds. And don’t think that they didn’t have their hand in the sudden “technical interruption” that surprisingly cut-off live streaming while one of New Rochelle’s residents was giving it to them good.

But everyone shouldn’t be surprised as the Board of Education always tries to censor taxpayers.
This meeting was a strange one. Surprisingly the main issue was about busing, how ridicules. It’s really not about busing; it’s about necessary budget cuts vs. unnecessary budget cuts.

Why is it necessary that supervisors get salary increases?

Why is it necessary that supervisors & department heads have unlimited expense budgets?

Why is it necessary that executives & supervisors are assigned city vehicles?

Why is it necessary that the Board of Education continues paying overtime to maintenance employees?

City Hall Plays Russian Roulette With the Lives of Its Residents

February 03, 2011 - 14:16

Bramson & Strome have yet to undergo massive cleanup efforts after three snow storms on many secondary and tertiary roads in New Rochelle, especially in the South and West end parts of town.

The conditions are so horrible and life threatening that should emergency services need to respond, they will find themselves with no access to many residential homes and apartment buildings.
This story is being cited as an official notice of warning to City Hall, Bramson, Strome and all City Council members, clean up our roads of face serious consequences and legal actions!

Should there come a loss of one life, an injury that could lead to a more serious condition caused by lack of emergency response timing, City Hall, DPW, Bramson, Strome and all Council Members will be responsible for all emergency incidents that lead to serious injuries or deaths caused by direct gross negligence.

Call Bramson, Strome and your local Council Member and tell them to clean up your roads, or else!!!

Bramson: (914) 654-2150
Strome: (914) 654-2140
Louis Trangucci: (914) 235-0499
Albert Tarantino: (914) 633-1985
Jared Rice: (914) 633-9200

Incompetence & Laziness Runs High In DPW...Stemming From City Hall

Incompetent DPW workers stem from one place, incompetent management. The other day, I witnesses with my own eyes and ears a DPW pick-up truck filled with four (4) men whose sole jobs were to go around and fill sand/salt barrels. The driver of the truck asked me where the barrel was. I pointed it out and said, “It was in front of that car.” Two other workers were ready, with shovels in hand, to fill the barrel. The driver, on the other hand, immediately said, “We’ll call it in and come back another time.” Laziness at its maximum capacity. New Rochelle needs to clean house, starting from the top to the bottom. Hard working tax payers are paying ridiculously high property and school taxes on incompetence. Businesses and residents are suffering during these tough economic times, while Bramson, Strome and the P.O.S. Councilpersons are being paid high salaries for “F”ing things up beyond repair. City Hall better wake up. Their lazy, do nothing actions are stemming down to workers. Their mentality is, “I don’t have to work for my salary and they can’t do anything about it.”

Sycamore Park Vandal Residing on Ronalds Lane

August 02, 2010 - 15:49

In the past two weeks, two vehicles which were parked on Ronalds Lane in the Sycamore Park area of New Rochelle, have been vandalized for the mere reason of parking on Ronalds Lane. Residence / home owners of Ronalds Lane think that they own the portion of the road in front of there homes and that no one else is allowed to park there. Ronalds Lane is a public street where any one can park their non-commercial vehicle.

There are a number of resident home owners that park “spot holder” vehicles in front of their homes and these vehicles become permanent road fixtures. These home owners park these “spot holders” for week and months without moving them so that other people cannot park their vehicles in front of their homes. This “spot holder tactic is illegal. These same home owners have driveways which they keep empty.

This writer knows that these crimes are being committed by resident home owners of Ronalds Lane, and that these home owners are gutless, selfish, socially challenged, inept, jealous, loathing individuals.

These crimes have been reported to the New Rochelle Police for investigation. If there are any others who have had their vehicles vandalized while parked on Ronalds Lane, report the act to New Rochelle Police Department. These resident home owners must be punished!!!
