In the past two weeks, two vehicles which were parked on Ronalds Lane in the Sycamore Park area of New Rochelle, have been vandalized for the mere reason of parking on Ronalds Lane. Residence / home owners of Ronalds Lane think that they own the portion of the road in front of there homes and that no one else is allowed to park there. Ronalds Lane is a public street where any one can park their non-commercial vehicle.

There are a number of resident home owners that park “spot holder” vehicles in front of their homes and these vehicles become permanent road fixtures. These home owners park these “spot holders” for week and months without moving them so that other people cannot park their vehicles in front of their homes. This “spot holder tactic is illegal. These same home owners have driveways which they keep empty.

This writer knows that these crimes are being committed by resident home owners of Ronalds Lane, and that these home owners are gutless, selfish, socially challenged, inept, jealous, loathing individuals.

These crimes have been reported to the New Rochelle Police for investigation. If there are any others who have had their vehicles vandalized while parked on Ronalds Lane, report the act to New Rochelle Police Department. These resident home owners must be punished!!!

Domenic Procopio has been receiving “Special Illegal Privileges” for over a decade. These privileges include property tax breaks, school tax breaks, parking and moving violation breaks, etc… It was discovered that Domenic Procopio was and still is receiving STAR Tax breaks on more then one of his properties. STAR Tax break is ONLY eligible for a person’s primary residence. It was also discovered that Domenic Procopio was also receiving Combat Veteran Tax Breaks on his properties. The funny thing here is that Mr. Precopio NEVER served in any of the Armed Forces of these Great United States. So how was it that he was grated such a break? If you ask Mayor Noam Bramson, he’ll tell you it was a clerical error. BULL!!!. There is no way this was an error. This was a deliberate illegal favor given to Domenic Procopio by Tim Idoni, the current County Clerk and carried out by City Manager Chuck Strome and current Mayor Noam Bramson. The issue here is why hasn’t Domenic Procopio been relinquished of his title? I’ll tell you why. Political connections run deep. The corruption in New Rochelle City Hall is so bad that sitting elected officials are afraid to do anything in fear of all the scandals and corruption being uncovered.

With many phone calls to the City Manager Charles Strome’s Office, Mayor Bramson’s Office and local City Council Representatives, it is now very clear that New Rochelle City Hall and all our Elected and Appointed City Officials Care NOT for our children’s safety or for the safety of most people in the South End of New Rochelle.

The Sycamore Park area of New Rochelle, located in the South End, has been plagued with serious on street parking issues, landscape company owners using residential zoned property to park and store commercial vehicles and equipment on their property, and above all speeding vehicles on the local narrow two-way streets.

Many Sycamore Park home owners and residents have complained about these and many other issues that have fallen on deaf ears within City Hall. The New Rochelle Police Department can only do so much; their hands are tied with the lack of cooperation from City Hall.

Since 1992 The City of New Rochelle has been in a downwards spiral in a collision course with debt. Decisions under former mayor Tim Idoni and current mayor Noam Bramson have caused New Rochelle to be in its current economical and financial state. What use to be the Queen City of the Sound is now The Tramp on the Docks.

The city’s development decisions, under their watch, has caused economic disaster. Even an idiot knows that if you want to build a city, you must first build businesses, not residents. The Avalon Projects, New Roc City and Trump Tower were major errors that cost the City of New Rochelle millions of dollars while making Idoni’s, Bramson’s and other City Official’s pockets very full.

Through out Westchester County, every time we experience strong storms and winds, residence lose power caused by trees taking out power lines. Well, enough is enough! It is time for someone to take a stand. The City has cut many services and we see that tree maintenance and care are now one of them. Due to this cutback, Mayor Bramson and Charles Strome are to blame for any City owned trees that have caused outages of all kinds and for all damages, injuries and deaths. The Noam Bramson, Charles Strome and all City Council Members must be held responsible and liable for their actions, like all criminals. They easily raise taxes so we can pay for their high salaries and all their extravagant unnecessary entertainment expenses while cutting valuable services to ensure a safer cleaner New Rochelle.

Home owners of Westchester County should now be held liable for power outages caused by downed trees that fall from their property as well. These trees should be looked at, maintained and trimmed to heights that will not interrupt power, cable and phone service to other home owners or residence every year.
