Margaret Gallinger Cone Berg passed away on August 27, 2012 at the Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in New York City on January 29th, 1921 to George and Louise Gallinger. She graduated from New Rochelle High School, New Rochelle, NY and Wheaton College in Norton, MA in 1942. She then graduated from Katherine Gibbs.
She was a volunteer Coast Watcher during World War II.
Mrs. Berg married her 1st husband, Robert E. Cone June 6th, 1946. They lived in Orchard Park, NY.
She was a member of the Buffalo Junior League. They moved as a family first to Essex, CT and then in 1964 to Darien, CT where they lived until Mr. Cone's death in 1983. She volunteered as a member of the Stamford-Norwalk Junior League. She was a Principal and Real Estate Broker in Robert E. Cone Associates. Mrs. Berg then moved fulltime to Vero Beach, FL in 1984. She was a member of Orchard Park Country Club and The Moorings Club where she served as a member of the Board as Membership Chairman. She was a member of the Norton Presbyterian Church in Darien, CT and the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, FL.
Jeannette Richards, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on August 27, 2012. She was 89.
Jeannette was born on November 30, 1922 in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Pedersen) Tiso.
She was predeceased by her husband John Richards Jr. who died in 2002.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert, Donald and John; her daughters-in-law, Karen, Julia and Kathleen; her grandchildren, John IV, Joshua, Jillian, Jeffrey and R.J. and her three great grandchildren.
Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Interment will follow at Holy Mount Cemetery.
Leonore Sylvester, a resident of New Rochelle, passed away on August 26, 2012.
She was born on April 3, 1931, to the late Roberto and Soledad Manrique in Bogota, Colombia. She married Louis Sylvester on April 12, 1958, who passed away on June 3, 2000.
She is survived by her children Linda (Salvatore) Calderone, Ronald and Daniel Sylvester, her grandchildren Sonny Calderone, Nicholas Calderone, and Danielle Gallo, her great grandson Frankie Gallo, and her two sisters Blanca Surtees and Elvira Caicedo.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Cecilia Frenk.

Harold Schiff died on Tuesday August 7 in Chicago, Ill., at the age of 84 after several years of declining health. Harold was born in New Rochelle, New York on September 24, 1927. He graduated from New Rochelle High School and attended Columbia University for two years. He served in the US army in the occupation of Japan.
Harold made his career in the nascent field of construction management, where he led major projects in New York City, Chicago and around the world. Among the most noted buildings he worked on were the Pan-Am building in New York, the Sears Tower in Chicago, and the Tour Monparnasse in Paris. He worked for Diesel Construction, Morse-Diesel Inc, ARA Services, and founded Schal Associates, which he later sold to Bovis.
Harold was pre-deceased by Rosalind (Holman) Schiff and Mozelle (Edelstein) Schiff.
Anthony C. "Tony" Foglio, a former long time resident of Sun City passed away on July 29th in Virginia Beach, VA, where he had been residing with his family since 2010. Anthony was born on Feb. 8, 1927 to Jennie and Carmine Foglio, in New Rochelle, NY. After a 20 year career in the US Air Force Anthony retired and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska followed by an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
Upon returning to the NY area Anthony was employed by the State of New York as a Veterans Counselor. After 20 years in that position he retired and relocated to Sun City, AZ in 1987.
Anthony was an active member of the American Legion for more than half of his life, serving, at one point, as Post Commander at Post 8 in New Rochelle, NY.
Dr. Angeles Samson Tiangco, 82, of New Rochelle, NY, peacefully passed away August 16, 2012.
Dr. Tiangco was born August 2nd, 1930, in Manila, Philippines. In the 60's, Dr. Tiangco earned an M.D. in surgery and worked at Flower and 5th Avenue Hospital in New York City and later became Chief of Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. After having her third child she chose to switch specialties to enable her to raise her family and earned an M.D. in Radiology. In the 70's she opened a private practice Radiology office in New Rochelle and became a leading specialist in breast cancer detection. She was most proud of a citation awarded to her by the Medical Society of the State of NY for 50 years of medical practice.
She is now resting peacefully with her deceased husband, Dr. Herminio Tiangco. She is survived by her three children, Joyce (Robert) Biolsi, Ken (Gerarda) Tiangco, Lynda (Frank) Zingaro and her loving grandchildren, Juliana, Lauren, Brandon, Tatiana, Nickolas, and Kenny; her brother Rogelio Samson and her sister Teresita Samson.
