The College of New Rochelle Volleyball Claims HVIAC Regular Season Title With Tri-Match Sweep

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle volleyball team clinched the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Regular Season Championship Saturday afternoon with two 3-0 conference wins in a tri-match held at the Wellness Center.

Playland Revenue and Attendance Up from 2013

WESTCHESTER, NY -- This week, the Westchester County Board of Legislators (BOL) received a year-end report for 2014 attendance and revenue at Playland—and the news is excellent! Attendance at the County’s historic 280-acre amusement park and recreation area this past year (which doesn’t include special events that take place through October) was 467,948, up more than 77,000 from last year’s 390,069, an increase of 20%. Similarly, gross revenue collected at Playland was $8,750,455, up nearly $1.7 million from last year’s $7,068,481, an increase of 24%.

The College of New Rochelle Volleyball Wins 15th Match, 3-0, At Yeshiva University

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle volleyball team won for the 15th time this season, and in 14 of those wins, including last night's Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) win over Yeshiva University, the win came in straight sets. The win was the 15th in the last 16 games for the Blue Angels, who improve to 15-4 on the season and 3-0 in HVIAC action.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Two College of New Rochelle athletes were recognized by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) on Tuesday with weekly accolades. Senior Samantha Gomez (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) was named AD3I Women's Tennis Player of the Week and junior Tayler Fisher (Wilmington, DE/Conrad School of Science) earned AD3I Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the second week in a row.
