Home Invasion 40 6 street New Rochelle

New Rochelle Police responded to a home invasion at 40 6 street in the west end of the city around 3:10pm Tuesday afternoon. The victim told police that two male suspects wearing ski masks with a skull of the front displayed a shotgun the suspects hit the victim with the butt of the gun in the face. Unknown what if anything was taken.

Early Morning House Fire 23 Bayard Street New Rochelle

The New Rochelle Fire Department received multiple calls about a house fire at 23 Bayard Street Around 12:15am Monday morning.IMG 3897Engine 24 was the first unit on the scene and reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the front and side of the house.

I put out a tweet yesterday reporting that NRPD was not going to be enforcing parking regulations in New Rochelle.

My report was based on listening to the police scanner. The New Rochelle Police Department dispatcher twice gave instructions over the air not to enforce meters or "pay to display" machines.

House Fire 33 Beechmont Drive New Rochelle

The New Rochelle fire department received a call from a homeowner about a smell of smoke in there home when the first engine pulled up they noticed heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters went to work quickly to get the fire under control. As of 3:20pm there were no injuries reported.

Dog Shot During Armed Robbery in New Rochelle, Police Manhunt Underway

A man walking his dog was approached by two male blacks wearing hoodies who displayed a handgun. The victim's dog attacked one of the suspects biting him on his arm then one of the suspects shot the man's dog and ran off down Allard avenue towards Main street. Police are searching the area with dogs and the Westchester county police helicopter.
