Reverend James Lougran Director Graymoor of the Ecumenical and Interreligious Institute, Rabbi Gordon Tucker Senior Rabbi of Temple Israel Center in White Plains, and Dr. William Egelman of Iona College will present Catholic and Jewish perspectives on the sensitive question of intermarriage. This event is co-sponsored by the American Jewish Committee, Westchester Regional Office.

The Holocaust and Coming to Terms with the Past in Post-Communist-Poland

The silence about the Holocaust in Poland after WWII was partly the effect of Communist ideology, partly the result of the painful memory of helplessness that many Poles experienced, and partly a consequence of the shame of witnessing the often barbaric behavior of one’s own people. Dr. Jolanta Ambrosewicz, director of the Center for Holocaust Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland will deliver the lecture.
