Ethelinda MacGregor Martorana, wife of Frank Martorana of Chiefland, Fla. and New Rochelle, N.Y., passed away at Sound Shore Hospital in New Rochelle, N.Y. Monday, June 11, 2012 after a long illness. Her family was with her.
She was born June 23, 1926 in Boscawen, and lived in Penacook, Spring Hill, Fla. and New Rochelle, N.Y. After graduating school, she had a long career in cosmetology both as a teacher and business owner. She later worked in the Medical Records Dept. at the Concord Hospital.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Everett MacGregor; her parents; her two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Martorana of New York and Florida; her sister, Beverly Jones of Laconia; and her many nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside ceremony at Blossom Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Vincent "Vinny" Savanello, resident of New Rochelle, formerly of Port Chester, died on June 17, 2012. He was 58.
Vincent was born on December 27, 1953 in Port Chester to the late Vincent A. and Pauline (Cherico) Savanello. Vinny was a graduate of Port Chester High School. He resided at YAI Belvidere Group Home in New Rochelle
He is survived by his two sisters Angela (Charles) Riccio and Grace Ann Savanello; his two nephews Charles and Christopher Riccio; his Aunt Elizabeth (Betty) Zaccagnino and his two Uncles, Peter Gualtieri and Vito (Carmela) Savanello and many cousins.
Visiting will be Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Mass is scheduled for Thursday 10:30am at St. Joseph Church. Jeanne Robinson, born April 20, 1934, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2012 in Washington D.C. where she had resided for over 40 years. Since 2008, she had been a resident of an assisted living facility in Washington, D.C. and was very active in their Resident Art Program. The program director spoke highly of her, both as a person, and her art skills. Jeanne was born in Valhalla. NY, grew up in White Plains, NY, and graduated from W.P. High School in 1952. Jeanne had two brothers, Reginald Robinson and Hubert Maurice Robinson, Sr., both of whom predeceased her several years ago. She was also predeceased by her mother Jessie H. Robinson and father Samson Robinson. Shirley Rock Starke, a resident of New Rochelle departed this life June 7, 2012. Born September 19, 1925 to Harry and Jane Rock in Amityville, NY where she received her basic education and then a Nursing Degree equiping her to be employed as an Operating Room Nurse. Surviving are three sons, George L. Starke of Washington, DC; William and Jon Stark of New Rochelle, NY; several grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Harry Rock; a sister, Carol Watson and others. Cecilia D. Paulmann, 87, who was born in Great Barrington, MA to John & Cecilia Donohue, passed away on June 9, 2012. A lifelong resident of New Rochelle, she was a devoted wife and mother of nine children. She attended The College of New Rochelle but left in her junior year to marry Frederick H. Paulmann, Jr. who predeceased her in February 2011.
For more than 35 years she served as an Eucharist Minister. Many of those years were devoted as a volunteer with the Ursuline Nuns, who travelled to a variety of nursing homes each week. Following her tour of nursing homes she continued as an Eucharist Minister in Holy Family Parish and to homebound parishioners. She continued to bring the Holy Eucharist to the homebound until her illness 6 weeks ago.Read more
Ann Amante, age 89, of New Rochelle, NY, died peacefully at her home June 9, 2012. She was born in Yatesboro, PA on July 29, 1922, the 3rd of 10 children of the late Victor & Fannie Polisuk. Her family relocated to Detroit, MI and after 20 yrs moved to NYC with 2 other sisters, Mary & Helen, where Ann met her husband, the late Joseph Amante. Together they owned and managed La Rochelle Florist at 520 North Ave in New Rochelle. Their vision was to do whatever it took to make customers enjoy being with their loved ones. Ann continued to managed the business another 25 yrs after Joseph passed away in 1978 before she retired. She had a passion for sewing, gardening and cooking. Ann is survived by her 3 loving children Carol Ann, Kathleen Amante-Dickter and Richard, her cherished grandsons Max and Jeffrey and her sister Julie Sulkowski. The Amante family will receive friends at George T. Davis Funeral Home in New Rochelle (www.georgetdavis.com) on Tuesday June 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9.
