Marian Otis (Pasciuti) passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 7 at the age of eighty four. She was born on August 25, 1927 in New Rochelle, NY. Upon completing high school in New Rochelle, she worked for March of Time in New York. This was the company that produced the news reels that were shown in movie theaters through the 1950's. She married V. James Pascuiti in 1948 and moved to Pound Ridge where she lived for the next fifty five years. Jim Pasciuti passed away also on August 7, forty years ago to the day in 1972. Marian enjoyed working at Schellings Market for many years. She is survived by her four children (Paul, Sandra, Jim, and Marian), five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was active in the Pound Ridge Community Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She researched and wrote the geneology of Alexander Gordon, her original Scots ancestor in the colonies, who emigrated in 1652. Since 2003, she spent one year living in Vermont with her son Jim and eight years in Helena, Montana with her son Paul. She passed away in Helena loved and cared for.Read more
Joan Ann DeNicola, a life long resident of New Rochelle, NY, passed away on Thursday Aug. 9, 2012 at the age of 73.
She was born on January 1, 1939, "First New Year's Baby of New Rochelle, 1939" to Oderick and Rose (Rella) Feola.
Joan married John A. DeNicola Sr. on April 12, 1959 at St. Gabriel's Church in New Rochelle, NY.
She was a Hairdresser, a Real Estate Agent and a Teachers Aide at Jefferson Elementary School.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, John A. DeNicola Sr., loving children, John A. "Dino" (Melissa) DeNicola Jr. and daughter, Janine (Jeff) Gresham, cherished grandchildren, Dakota DeNicola, Thomas and Alexandra Gresham. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Louise (James) Colangelo, Barbara (Mike) Caruso, Lorraine (Mick) Bombace and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Jack Williams retired president emeritus of the New Rochelle Fire Department U.F.F.A. passed away peacefully on July 26,2012. He was 77. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, son Jack, daughter in law Debi,his two loving grandchildren Jackie and Deanna and his brother Jim.A lso many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Ellie.
Jack was president of the U.F.F.A. 12 of his 21 years with the Fire Department. During that time he received many community, civic and labor achievement awards. He received three departmental citations, one of them,the highest award given to a Firefighter, the Thomas Carrigan Award for rescuing a child from a fire in 1970. Jack was the co-chairman of the 5th district Fire Fighters Burn Center Committee and the first Fire Fighter ever appointed to the Westchester County Labor Advisory Board.
In his younger years he was an avid bowler and baseball player ,he was on U.F.F.A. championship teams in the 60s and 70s. He was Loved by All who knew Him!Read more
Lucy McCarthy of Mahopac, NY formerly of New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 7, 2012 of pancreatic and liver cancer. She was born on November 19, 1939 the daughter of Sam and Elvira Immediato Nardone.
Lucy is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Charles Sr., sons Charles Jr. and his wife Wendy and Gary and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Charles III, Cody, James, David, Lauren and Jonathan. She is also survived by her brothers Al and his wife Judy and Ronnie and his wife Kathy.
Lucy graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1957. She worked for Griffen Ford after graduation for 2 years. In 1966 she graduated from Phelps Hospital School of Nursing and went on to work at New Rochelle Hospital for 4 years and Somers Manor Nursing Home for 9. Lucy then went to the Instatron School for Electrolysis and opened her own business in 1980 with the name of Pretty Faces. She retired in 1996.

Julia M Taibi a long time resident of New Rochelle passed away Monday July 30, 2012. Julia was born in New York City and moved to New Rochelle with the true love of her life Ralph, her husband of nearly 50 years. In the years after Ralph's passing Julia's daughter Barbara became the center of her life. The dedication to Julia's welfare and happiness was the hallmark of Barbara's uncommon devotion to her mother's love. Julia was also nourished by the love and kindness from her son in law and friends and neighbors. Julia had a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master's degree from Hunter College. Julia was born with special gifts to teach grade school children. Julia dearly loved the children she taught over the decades at Davis School. When Julia was out and about a week did not go by at a store or shopping mall when some one came over to say hello to Julia and recall in year's past when they reveled in her class. Julia was born on June 7, 1920 in NYC to the late Thomas and Julia (Callahan) Ryan. She worked for many years as a Librarian for the New York City Public Library.
She is survived by her son John Carey and his wife Patricia; her two grandchildren Catherine and Kevin and several nieces and nephews

Jeanne M. McKay, a resident of New Rochelle, died peacefully surrounded by her children, on July 27, 2012. She was 84.
Jeanne was born on August 9, 1927 in the Bronx to the late Andrew and Hannah (Warneke) Peirce. Jeanne was an amazing bowler in her younger days, winning many trophies. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends.
She is survived by her children: Joanne Schroeder, Barbara Ruggeri, William C. McKay, Carol Russo; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; her brother Andrew Peirce of Hopewell Junction.

Danzie B. Mills, a 67 year resident of New Rochelle died August 3, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Born November 23, 1926 to John G. and Rosie (Graham) McArthur in Laurinburg, NC where she graduated the public schools. Employed many years a housekeeper, also an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, New Rochelle, and the Senior Usher Ministry. Married to John D. Mills who predeceased her.
