American Catholic Bishops Urge Civil Disobedience

June 20, 2012 - 21:36

The American Catholic Bishops in a call for civil disobedience are urging Catholics to defy the Obama HHS Mandate and are sending bulletin inserts nationwide which quote Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King wrote:
"I would agree with Saint Augustine that 'An unjust law is no law at all.' A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law."

One Catholic priest in New Rochelle has already said he supports the Bishops.

The U.S. Bishops have urged Catholics across America to participate in a 14-day campaign of prayer, study and public action dedicated to protecting our religious liberty.

The Fortnight for Freedom campaign starts this Thursday, June 21, the vigil of the Feasts of Sts. John Fisher and Thomas More. The campaign culminates on July 4, the day Americans celebrate our Independence.
