NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Behind a pair of first half goals, the Bryant University Bulldogs defeated the Iona College Gaels by a final of 2-0.  The Maroon & Gold were outshot 18 to 9, and junior Tiffany Martinez was forced to make five saves inbetween the posts to keep the Gaels in the contest.

Junior Haley Reddish scored the first goal of the game at the 15:03 mark on a penality kick following a foul commited by the Gaels defense.  Just five minutes late, freshman Caitlyn Linden upped the Bulldogs advantage with a header score off a corner kick opportunity served up by junior Brigitte Donaghy.

Iona was unable to record a shot on goal in the first half; its first shot on net came at the 31:27 mark in the second half off the foot of sophomore midfielder Mariana Jaramillo.  Over the course of the final fifteen minutes, the Maroon & Gold increased their offensive presence, forcing senior goalkeeper Kaylan Conrad to make three saves in quick sucession.

Jaramillo led Iona with four shots in the contest.  Junior forward Charlotte Stuart registered two shots, including one on goal.  Junior Julia Campagna had one shot that forced Conrad to make a save.
